Tracy Carter, LPCC-S, CCTP

Tracy Carter, LPCC-S, CCTP is a licensed professional clinical counselor with supervision designation and a certified clinical trauma professional. Tracy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Art from Ohio University in 2010 and a Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Counseling from Ursuline College in 2013. She has a range of experience working in higher levels of care for adults and adolescents, including inpatient hospitalization and outpatient group therapy for depression and eating disorders, to group private practice since 2018.
Tracy approaches counseling from a person-centered approach and a feminist lens. She believes in a client-led therapy experience, empowering individuals to discover their own truths and values to guide their wellness journey. Areas of clinical focus include adults (22 years and up), depression, anxiety, relational trauma, body image, and identity exploration. She uses an integrative approach of trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, and art-based interventions.
Tracy offers in-office appointments on Wednesday/Friday and telehealth appointments Tuesday through Friday.
In her spare time, Tracy enjoys cooking/baking, watching Marvel movies with her husband, and traveling. Tracy hopes to travel to as many of the National Parks as possible!
