Kari Johnson, LPCC-S
Kari Johnson, LPCC-S, is a licensed professional clinical counselor with a Master's degree in Counselor Education from the University of Dayton. From 2017 to 2022, Kari worked as an outpatient clinician at a local community agency, gaining broad experience with individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and major life transitions. Since joining Keller Counseling in 2022, her focus has sharpened to specialize in relationship work, both with couples and individuals, and in supporting clients with ADHD and anxiety.
Kari takes a direct, practical approach to therapy. Her work is trauma informed and goal oriented, balancing warmth with structure. She sees therapy as a partnership: clients bring their lived experience, and she brings tools, perspective, and accountability to help move things forward.
Kari utilizes evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Therapy. She is certified in EMDR for trauma work, holds an ADHD Clinical Services Provider certification, and has completed Level 1 training in the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy. She is currently training with The Couples Institute to further specialize in couples work.
Kari works with clients 18 years and older and is available Monday through Friday.
