Lauren Willson, LSW

she/her/hers

is a licensed social worker who received her Master's degree in Social Work at Ohio State University.

Prior to joining the practice as a clinician, Lauren acquired vast professional experience working in various treatment settings including inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, residential rehabilitation, and community-based non-profits. She has worked closely with folks in acute mental health crises ranging everywhere from anxiety, depression, to psychosis. Lauren also has extensive experience working with diverse populations such as LGBTQIA+ clients, clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities, justice involved clients, unhoused clients, and more.

Lauren’s areas of focus include anxiety, depression, the development of coping skills, processing trauma, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

Lauren approaches counseling from a strengths-based, trauma informed and person-centered perspective- utilizing a mixed methods approach that pulls from various evidence based modalities.

Lauren views counseling as a collaboration between client and clinician. She feels that counseling is not one-size-fits-all and aims to empower clients to vocalize their needs so she may personalize her approach to best support them in building their strengths and achieving their goals.

Lauren works with clients 18 and older and is available for appointments both in person, and via telehealth Monday through Friday.

In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time outside, cooking, collecting vinyl records and snuggling with her two cats!
