Julia obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology and French from Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. She is currently a graduate student at The Ohio State University, where she is pursuing a master’s degree in social work.
Julia has experience working with all ages in residential, day treatment, and outpatient mental healthcare settings. Prior to working at Keller Counseling and Associates, she worked in multiple higher level of care settings in the field of pediatric behavioral health, as well as working as a crisis counselor for adolescents and adults. Julia has clinical interests in treating anxiety, depression, and disordered eating. She believes in a client-led approach to therapy, and strives to meet you where you are to help you achieve your goals. In session, she utilizes a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Julia works with clients age 16 and older, and is available for appointments in person or via telehealth on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. She is supervised by Abby Sillaman, LISW-S.
In her free time, Julia enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing the violin, speaking French, reading, coloring, and going for walks and bike rides.
Tia Schmitz, SWT

Tia obtained her bachelor’s degree in sociology and criminology from The Ohio State University, where she is currently a graduate student, pursuing a master’s degree in Social Work.
Before joining Keller Counseling, Tia gained valuable experience working with teens and adults involved in the justice system. She specialized in understanding her clients’ life experiences, helping to identify mental health and environmental factors contributing to their situation. This honed her skills in motivational interviewing and an understanding of complex client backgrounds.
Tia is interested in working with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, depression, and trauma. Her goal is to empower clients by helping them develop effective coping skills and identifying their strengths and supports. Tia approaches counseling from a person-centered, trauma-informed perspective that pulls from various evidence-based modalities. Tia is committed to providing a personalized approach that aligns with each client’s unique goals.
Tia is available for appointments Monday - Wednesday in person or telehealth. She is supervised by Amie Lambert, LISW-S.
In her spare time, Tia enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog, Queso, reading, trying out new restaurants, and leisure hiking.
