Kari Johnson, LPCC-S

Kari Johnson, LPCC-S, is a professional clinical counselor with a Master’s degree in Counselor Education from the University of Dayton. From 2017 until recently joining Keller Counseling, she has had extensive experience as an outpatient clinician at a community agency, working with a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, wellness, trauma, substance abuse, relationship issues, and life transitions. Her approach is trauma-informed with a person-centered focus. Kari sees the counseling process as collaborative, in which the therapist and client work together to make change. She believes the client is the expert on their life and the therapist is a support and guide, working with the client toward their goals.

She is passionate about counseling and strives to create a welcoming, warm, non-judgmental space. Kari utilizes evidenced-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She is also certified in EMDR therapy.

Kari works with clients 18 years and older and is available Tuesday through Friday.

In her spare time, Kari enjoys being in nature, traveling, knitting, and spending time with her family.
