Nimarta (Nimo) Roberts, LPC

Nimo Roberts, LPC earned her Masters Degree at The Ohio State University in the Counselor Education program and is dually licensed school counselor and clinical mental health counselor. She completed her clinical internship at The Ohio State's Counseling Center where she led mindfulness based groups for clients with mild/moderate anxiety and/or depression and co-facilitated a Mindfulness based group while kayaking in the Everglades.  After graduation, Nimarta worked as an elementary school counselor in the Granville School District. She worked with children experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation and social skill difficulties, and family transitions in individual and group settings. 

Nimarta has a client-centered approach to counseling with an emphasis on systems, particularly the importance of the individual in the context of his/her relationships with others. She uses techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy  (CBT) and solution focused therapy to work with individuals to recognize their individual strengths and  reach their own goals. Nimarta works with children and adults and is available to see clients in office or through telehealth. 

In her spare time, Nimarta loves spending time with her husband, her two children, and her two cats, being outdoors, traveling, and reading.
